Jesus Christ is the Apostle:

Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our profession, Christ Jesus;
Hebrews 3:1
At the genesis of the apostolic campaign is the Author of it Himself, Jesus Christ. He is the Apostle, He is the Prophet, He is the evangelist the Pastor and the Teacher, and he has given Himself, through gifts, unto men in order to perfect us, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, to cause us to come in the unity of the faith and to unity of the knowledge of the Son of God unto a perfect man, to bring us unto the measure of the fulness of the stature of Christ. All who represent Him in the fulfillment of His purpose in the earth must pattern themselves in reflection of His image alone. According to the above verse in Ephesians, Christ the Apostle, has given apostles along with the other four gifts, unto men. The following scripture sheds great light on what these apostles are to do:
By whom we have received grace and apostleship, for obedience
to the faith among all nations, for his name: Romans 1:5

What is this vocation, this grace, that apostles have received and represent Christ in? The Apostle Jesus Christ made disciples (Mark 3:14, Luke 6:13). The grace of an apostle also makes disciples unto the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus, speaking unto his disciples who were also apostles, said, “All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore and teach (disciple — correct translation of “teach”) all nations . . .” (Matthew 28:18). According to this scripture all authority and jurisdiction have been given unto Jesus Christ. He in turn says to us …Because I have all authority and jurisdiction in the earth, you go, in My authority and submerge them (bring them totally under) disciple them in the character and authority of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. In other words, disciple men that they may be obedient to the faith – that they may be men that not only “believe” My Word but who are also obedient to that Word and do it.

Jesus Christ, the Apostle, is the Head of the Church, the Head of His Body, and our Commander. (Ephesians 1:22-23, John 15:14-15). A Commander is one who sets the strategy for, governs, and oversees the carrying out of a military campaign. According to 2 Corinthians 10, Christ has initiated and carries out this campaign with men who are apostles, in representation of Himself.
Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you: But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your
obedience is fulfilled.” 2 Corinthians 10:1-6

The words war and warfare in these scriptures encompass the following definitions from the Strong’s dictionary: war – to serve in a military campaign – to execute the apostolate with its arduous duties and functions, to contend with carnal inclinations – a soldier – go to warfare – military service, the apostolic career (as one of hardship and danger) warfare.

The Apostle Paul stated that, although they (he and other apostles) walk as men in the earth, his warfare was not conducted in the flesh. He contended (warred) against the carnal inclinations of men.

Contending with the souls of men to bring them into accountability to the Word of God and thereby into submission to the Lord Jesus Christ is, as the definition of warfare defines it in the Greek language, often a hard and arduous task As our Lord sees it, however, it is well worth the work.

It is to this task that Randy Shankle , gifted and called as an apostle of our Lord Jesus Christ, has been appointed. Brother Randy has answered to the burden of the Lord, placed in his heart in 1979, to bring males into leadership, under the headship of Jesus Christ and in obedience to His Word. He must fulfill his part of the commission of our Lord Jesus Christ to make disciples of all nations (males and females) baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. The apostolic campaign of our Lord Jesus Christ is the strategy, chosen of the Lord to accomplish our Father’s will.

The apostolic campaign is a strategy of the Apostle Jesus Christ Himself to bring the sons and daughters of God to maturity in His Father’s house. Jesus Christ Himself, through the Word and the Spirit, as well as through His manifestation through gifts in men, will call, train, and bring disciples into obedience of the faith – to be doers of all that we as Christians profess to believe.
